- Strength training: Perform strength exercises for all major muscle groups at least twice weekly. One set of each exercise is enough to reap health and fitness benefits. Use a heavy weight or resistance level to fatigue your strengths after 12 to 15 repetitions.
Regular exercise can help you switch your weight, decrease your risk of heart illness and some types of cancer, and strengthen your bones and muscles.
